Plugin capable framework

OMIS (OpenMedia Interface Service) provides a framework which is used to install and run OMIS-PlugIns. OMIS-PlugIns are modular enhancements of OpenMedia standard functionalities which match the specific requirements of broadcast stations.

They are implemented for the following categories of applications:

• Delivering additional functionality and workflows – for example synchronizing metadata fields between objects in OpenMedia or automatic rundown creation
• Controlling import and export of data in ASCII, XML, HTML or proprietary formats
• Managing the integration of 3rd party systems

PlugIns are installed and configured according to newsroom and control room workflows. They can be automatically executed, supporting dynamic integration, or manually triggered by a user using a simple button added to an OpenMedia toolbar.
