The OpenMedia user experience is up-to-date and familiar to Microsoft Windows users, with an Outlook-style navigation bar providing short-cuts to a journalist’s most-used tasks and content. The application uses standard Windows conventions such as toolbars and context-sensitive menus, and provides flexible screen layouts and tabbed views to maximize journalists’ productivity. Multiple rundowns, stories, scripts and other objects such as wires can be open on the screen simultaneously, with content easily dragged or copied between.
The OpenMedia user interface can be localized into many languages, but where even a multi-lingual operation is ensured catered for with proven provision for international operations including full Unicode compliance, support for standard OS IMEs and for right-to-left scripts and texts.
