Running orders rule the newscast on TV and radio. OpenMedia rundowns can be edited by more than one person and are always current with dynamic updating. Any data changes are reflected immediately everywhere in the system, whether linked to a script or to a rundown. Complicated timing scenarios like block timing or fixed timing are handled easily, single rundown items can be set to “Hold” to exclude them from timing and remove them from external playlists.
Many flexible layouts are available including multi-line views, colors and icons to indicate different types of item and their status, with thumbnails and metadata display for media clips. They can be used in different stages of rundown production or assigned to certain user groups.
OpenMedia supports sub-rundowns, which can be worked on individually but which integrate into the main rundown for timing and device control.
During play out, OpenMedia rundowns can automatically transmit metadata and content to the connected different gallery devices according to a pre-determined set of rules and formats. Triggers can be used to record As-run logs. Paperless gallery views eliminate clutter and reduce errors.
